Purpose
The Lead Business Analyst drives successful delivery of customer-focused insurance solutions. This role ensures impactful outcomes across initiatives and customer portfolios by promoting scalable, consistent BA practices, mentoring analysts, embedding continuous improvement aligned with Entsia’s delivery framework, and acting as a strategic thought leader of the discipline.
Responsibilities
The role has the following responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s business analysis practice ensuring continuous professional development of the business analysis team and supporting their successful customer implementations.
- Drive customer success by advising on solution design and strategy, resolving requirement issues, and ensuring alignment on high-priority initiatives through effective leadership.
- Build a high-performing business analysis team through leadership, training, mentoring, and continuous improvement to drive solution quality and sustainable growth.
- Ensure successful commercial outcomes by owning and guiding business and technical solutions across the company’s portfolio in close collaboration with the delivery management team.
- Comply with company policies and procedures on the handling of personal data, data confidentiality and information security.
Skills and Experience
The role requires the following skills and experience:
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or people management role, with a strong record of successful project delivery in the insurance industry.
- Experience leading BAs across multiple delivery streams or customer programs, ideally within a consulting or SaaS context.
- Deep understanding of business analysis practices and agile delivery methodologies, with the ability to scale and embed practices across teams.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing team members, building team culture, and uplifting capability.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic alignment.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and process modelling or visualisation tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with SaaS insurance platforms or core policy administration systems.
- Exposure to data integration, reporting, or automation in the insurance domain.
- Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile delivery (e.g. Scrum Master)
